* Today we were asked to plot our stories so as to get a full idea of how the story progresses, the introduction of characters, the tense moments and so on. Therefore, I continued to work on on such plot outlines whilst writing more of the current idea I have in mind and sending the Cthulhu esk one which was mostly complete to some of my colleagues for feedback.
* We discussed how to phrase the book e.g. he, she or you. Personally I have chosen the latter as that way the player can imagine the main character to be them and thus referring to them as 'you' doesn't break the player's immersion in the game.
We also discussed death for our games and came to the conclusion that you shouldn't have death as a first choice as, if you do then it should occur on a page after the one you decided to go to in the first place. Thus stopping players from cheating by merely going back to the page they were on. However, I will see how many pages I have first before doing this as knowing me I write a lot.
* My lecturer also asked me how I was getting on and therefore I shared with him my previous ideas and game play styles. Overall, he was very pleased with my work and wanted me to put my CYOA books onto my blogs so as to show the amount of effort I had put in and my findings from each one. I do plan to do this, but I wish to spell check them first and make sure to detail the process and ideas of each one.
I also ended up sending my Cthulhu esk CYOA book to my lecturer as he was interested in playing it for himself.
